We started with a Vintage V6HMRSSB and did the following:
Mods:
- Install Tortoise Shell pickguard
- Add custom 5 way switch
- 1. Bridge humbucker only
- 2. Single coil bridge pickup with single coil middle pickup
- 3. Single coil middle pickup only
- 4. Single coil middle pickup with single coil neck pickup
- 5. Neck humbucker only
- Install Wilkinson WVPC bridge
- Install Wilkinson aged WJ55S slotted post tuners
- Add Heavy distressed finish
- Aged gloss finish
Specs:
Body:
Eastern poplar body provides resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, enhanced with correctly radiused contoured body.
Vibrato:
The Wilkinson WVPC vibrato bridge featured on this Artist Recipe Vintage V6 is a masterpiece of detail. Solid stainless steel saddles are the ultimate in comfort and performance. Full solid steel block with 41mm depth. The unique design eliminates the chance of screws binding in the holes resulting in a return to zero pitch that is second to none. This tremolo provides the unsurpassed "tone transfer" of a six-screw pivot system with the smooth fulcrum action of a two-pivot set-up. The ‘push-in’ delrin-bushed arm with variable tension provides the arm feel that suits your style.
Pickups:
Featuring a balanced pair of Wilkinson WVC PAF style Alnico V humbucking pickups with pure nickel covers and a Wilkinson WVS vintage-voiced Alnico V middle pickup with staggered, chamfered edge pole pieces, for authentic tone and contemporary power in the neck, middle and neck positions.
Controls:
Single master Volume control with Tone control 1 for the neck pickup, and Tone control 2 for bridge pickup. Five-way selector switch.
Machines Heads:
Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55S distressed slotted post.
Neck:
Hard rock Maple with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile for instant comfort, speed, accuracy and great feel.
Fingerboard:
Traditional 10" radius fingerboard provides positive feel and superior playability.
Scale Length: 25.5" / 648mm.
Frets:
22 Medium profile frets add to comfort, accuracy and overall positive feel of the Vintage V6.
Nut:
43mm Graphtech ‘NuBone’ nut for smooth and friction free action
Headstock:
Classic Vintage headstock design for balance and visual appeal.
