Ryder King

Ryder King is a guitarist and vocalist for Velvet Daydream, a Denver-based rock band known for reviving the classic rock sound with a modern twist. 

Velvet Daydream draws inspiration from 1970s rock icons like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, KISS, and The Rolling Stones, blending bluesy riffs with psychedelic grooves. Their debut self-titled album, released on Friday the 13th, 2023, was recorded using vintage equipment on 1/2 inch tape to capture an authentic analog sound . 

Ryder King emphasizes the band's desire to carve out their own identity rather than emulate past legends. He explains, "We want to give people something new that is inspired by an old style, but if we’re trying to sound like a specific band(s), there’s less room for growth. We want to be the first Velvet Daydream, opposed to the next Led Zeppelin.”
